Have we got a Challenge for you! 3 March 2020 Challenges After offering sponsored cycles and treks for more than 25 years, Norwood is now also promoting Challenges that everyone can take part in – so there’s no excuse not to join us by yourself, or with friends and family in tow. There’s a choice of the Maccabi GB Community Fun Run on Sunday 5 July or Norwood’s London Bridges Walk on Sunday 13 September. But there’s no reason why you can’t do both. Join over 7,500 members of the Jewish Community at the Maccabi Fun Run where you can take part in a 1km or 5km walk, a 5km colour run, or a 10km run. And if a walk or run isn’t your thing, try hopping, skipping or dancing your way around these various courses. Just remember to choose Norwood as your chosen charity and raise as much as you can to support families in crisis and people with educational challenges, learning disabilities or autism. And then after you’ve completed this, how about treating the family to a great day out in the capital for the London Bridges Walk? Aimed at all abilities, you can choose from a 2-, 6.5- or more challenging 13-mile walk around London, taking you across ten of the capital’s famous bridges. For younger participants, our two-mile walk starts at the Chelsea College of Arts and Design and finishes at the awesome London Eye, while the 6.5 mile walk finishes by Tower Bridge. Be it Westminster or Waterloo; London or Lambeth, these are just some of the bridges you’ll cross as you take in some of the capital’s other landmarks, such as Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. And, most importantly, together with your own family, you’ll also be supporting other children and families facing difficult times and people with learning challenges.
