Norwood puts best foot forward at charity recruitment drive

19 October 2018

On Wednesday, 17 October 2018 Norwood career opportunities were on show at the Charity Central community charity recruitment fair.

The recruitment fair, put on by Work Avenue, was incredibly successful and well attended.

Pippa Ewings, Norwood Recruitment Manager, said: “Today’s fair, a networking event aimed at those who work or wish to work in the charitable/not for profit sector, was a great opportunity for Norwood to showcase our vacancies and engage with prospective employees. We had a lot of interest on the day which was great to see.

Norwood really is a wonderful charity to work for, not only because of the incredible work they do in our community but in the way they value their staff and volunteers – you really do feel part of one big family.”

Work Avenue operates at the heart of the Jewish community and beyond, and in 2017 helped 1495 employment clients and 604 entrepreneurs with their business. Many of their job-seeking clients express a strong desire to work in the not for profit sector, and with that in mind, the Charity Central recruitment fair was born.

Norwood is a leading Jewish children’s, family and learning disability charity.

Founded in 1795, Norwood enjoys the Patronage of Her Majesty The Queen. We support thousands of vulnerable children and their families, children with special educational needs and people with learning disabilities in London and the South East.

We believe that everyone should be given the help they need to get through difficult times, achieve their best and lead a fulfilling life. Our staff and volunteers work hard to make this possible by providing whatever support is needed in a warm and caring environment.

Everyone wants a job where they can make a real difference. At Norwood, we can give just that. We support our staff and volunteers to be the best they can be and inspire them to reach their full potential.

Each and every role at Norwood is an essential part of the vital support services we offer. From support workers to accountants, social workers to fundraisers, therapists to administrators.
