30 September 2016

Over 280 guests from the world of distressed investing gathered at the Rosewood Hotel in Holborn last night for the industry’s largest charity event. The evening, which raised £270,000, was sponsored by Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld. Entertainment was provided by legendary stand-up comedian Omid Djalili, who delivered a hilariously energetic performance.

Omid Djalili said: "It was a privilege to perform part of my new show ‘Schmuck for a Night’ at Norwood’s 11th Distressed Investing Dinner this evening. It has been such a fantastic atmosphere and it is brilliant to see so much continued support for this wonderful charity and the amazing work they do with children and families in local communities.’

Neville Kahn, Norwood Trustee and member of Norwood Distressed Investing Committee, said: "This event is a wonderful opportunity for the whole industry to come together and support a worthy cause. It’s a unique charity event and it was great to see so many of movers and shakers of the restructuring and distressed investing industry in the room."

Gordon Singer, member of Norwood Distressed Investing Committee, said: "The money we’ve raised tonight will do an enormous amount of good, supporting those in the community who need it most."
