Norwood welcomes Philip Hertz to the board of trustees29 July 2016Press Release Norwood is delighted to announce the appointment of Philip Hertz as a member of the Board of Trustees, following the successful trustee recruitment process recently undertaken by the Board after the charity’s annual Trustee skills audit. Philip is a Partner and the Global Head of Restructuring and Insolvency at international law firm Clifford Chance, where he has advised companies, lenders, investors and other stakeholders in relation to some of the most complex and significant cross border restructurings and insolvencies. Philip has been a supporter of Norwood for many years. He arranged for Clifford Chance to advise Norwood as part of its community outreach and pro bono programme, ran the London Marathon to raise money for the charity, and has taken on a number of Norwood’s challenging international cycle rides. Philip is also an active member of his local community, having just stepped down as Chairman of Stanmore and Canons Park Synagogue. Norwood’s Chair David Ereira said: "Phillip brings with him a wealth of legal and communal experience, and has been a longstanding and passionate advocate for Norwood. His contribution to Norwood’s work will be extremely valuable, and I am delighted to welcome him to our Board."
