Vodafone team up with Norwood to get ready for Summer fun 7 July 2016 Press Release 14 volunteers from Vodafone descended on Ravenswood in Crowthorne to lend a hand with preparations for the annual Ravenswood Summer Fair. The volunteers happily swapped their desks for a day spent weeding, potting out a beautiful floral display and repainting one of Norwood’s accessible bikes. Norwood Ravenswood is home to over 120 people with a range of learning disabilities, in small residential and supported living homes. It also offers sports, learning and leisure opportunities. Every year it holds a Summer Fair – with music, face painting and plenty of games and stalls. Elaine Haskins, Line Manager Project Management, Technology Enterprise Services at Vodafone said: "We’d like to say a big thanks from our team in allowing us to come to Ravenswood and help out with some of the gardening. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we enjoyed meeting the residents who came over to say hello as well. A great day for a great cause and we hope the fair goes well on Sunday!" Jane Phillips, Volunteering Development Officer, said: "Having the volunteers was an absolute joy. They worked so hard and now the gardens are spic and span and ready for all the fun of the fair."
