Show time at Norwood’s Purim party31 March 2016Press Release Over 220 people who are supported by Norwood’s services danced the night away at the charity’s annual Purim Party at JCoSS last Wednesday. The highlight of the evening was the Purim play, which, for the first time, included a choir made up of people with learning disabilities supported by Norwood. This year’s show took on an Abba theme, with a cast of guests and staff belting out songs such as ‘I have a Dream’ and – in honour of Queen Esther – ‘Dancing Queen.’ Norwood job coach Garry Urwin, the play’s director said: "This year we really wanted to get more people involved. The choir’s moment was what I was most looking forward to and they did not disappoint. Next year we plan to make it even bigger, so we’ve told people to get practising as auditions won’t be far away."
