Johnson & Johnson volunteers make a world of difference

22 December 2015

Thirty-six people from Johnson & Johnson, the global healthcare company, took part in a mammoth two-day volunteering session for Norwood, rolling up their sleeves to spruce up the outside areas at Ravenswood. An international bunch, 24 of the volunteers were taking part in an internship with the company, with some coming from as far away as Germany, America and the Netherlands.

The interns sanded and painted garden furniture and cleared the garden of weeds at Ravenswood in Crowthorne, which provides residential and supported living accommodation, and opportunities for learning and leisure for adults with learning disabilities.

Pam Forsyth, HR Business Partner at Johnson & Johnson said: "It was a win-win for everybody. We got to know the people in our team really well and spent time doing something really worthwhile. It was nice to do something for our local community."
