Norwood’s new Presidents get the Ravenswood grand tour

15 December 2015

Ravenswood staff and residents were visited by Norwood’s new Presidents on Sunday.

Lord Mendelsohn and Lady Mendelsohn, the charity’s new Presidents, took a tour of Ravenswood, which provides residential and supported living accommodation and support to adults with learning disabilities, as well as learning, sport and leisure opportunities.

They stopped to chat with residents and staff at Pamela Barnett and The Farmhouse residential homes, and Norwood’s state of the art Hydrotherapy pool and Synagogue.

At the end of the tour they joined in with the Chanukah celebrations at the Precinct Cafe.

Speaking after the visit, Lady Mendelsohn said: "It was clear from the moment we arrived how warm and caring the village is and how it is more than a community, it is one great big family. It was so special for us to be able to be there for Chanukah and to take part in the candle lighting. We loved spending time with our amazing staff and Ravenswood’s residents seeing at first hand the support that we provide."
