Poker stars get lucky for Norwood9 December 2015Press Release 100 people came together on Monday night for the Poker 100 Tournament, raising more than £70,000 for Norwood. The glitzy event was held at London’s Playboy Club, in the opulent Baroque Room. Stakes were high, with prizes including a three-night break at Trump Towers in New York, and a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Norwood Trustee and Chair of Fundraising Mark Pollack, who organised the event along with fellow committee members Simon Rosenblatt, Gary Bluston and Nitzan Yaniv, said: "It was a really successful and fun evening which was heavily oversubscribed. This was Norwood's fourth poker tournament and it has become a firm favourite with serious poker players who welcomed the opportunity to compete together in one of the capital’s most iconic venues, and at the same time help to support a very worthy cause". The money raised will enable Norwood to continue provide its essential services to the most vulnerable in our community."
