Families in the carnival spirit raise £25,000 for Norwood

8 June 2015

Over 200 people flocked to a fun-filled family afternoon Norwood’s second annual Children’s Carnival on Sunday, complete with face-painting, Mad Scientist activities and toddler soft play. The event was held at London’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Raffle and auction prizes included tickets to see Ed Sheeran at the O2 and brunch for eight prepared by the former head chef at Ottolenghi.

The carnival atmosphere spilled out onto the sun-drenched terrace, raising £25,000 for Norwood, a leading Jewish charity that supports vulnerable children and their families, children and young people with special educational needs, and adults with learning disabilities.

Joanne Zmiro-Sopher, Children’s Carnival Committee Chair, said: "This was a fantastic event for both parents and kids. Everyone had a fabulous time while raising money for Norwood and the vital work the charity does."
