Three of the UK's top young entrepreneurs were given a grilling on Monday night by Sky Sport's Olivia Wayne at the annual YN Business, Finance and Entrepreneurs dinner, held at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.

The panel event 'The Next Big Thing,' with Robert Jakobi, Co-owner of Metcalfe's Food Company, MADE.com's COO Julien Callede and Uber's Sarah Slater, attracted over 300 young professionals from the world of business and finance.

The evening raised a record £97,000 for Norwood, the UK's largest Jewish children, family and learning disability charity. This year Norwood is celebrating 200 years of Royal Patronage.

After dinner guests threw themselves into the charity auction, bidding for prizes including a luxury Ibiza break and a year's free five-a-side football. The appeal speech was delivered by Daniella Phillips, a trainee barista at Norwood’s Kennedys Café who has a learning disability. She explained that because of charity's support she has been able to find a job.

The evening culminated in a panel debate, with guests taking the opportunity to quiz the panel on everything from growth and expansion to recruitment, online marketing and tips for start-ups.

Speaking after the event, panellist Julien Callede, COO at MADE.com, said: "The audience was super-engaged and the atmosphere was fantastic. I really enjoyed it. Companies like us have gained a lot of knowledge from the people we’ve met in business and it’s great to give something back."

YN Business Finance and Entrepreneurs Committee Chair Nick Feldman said: "I think we've proved tonight that this industry is not only ambitious for what we can achieve in business but also for the difference we can make. The money raised will do a huge amount of good, helping thousands of children and adults with learning disabilities make the most of their potential, and supporting families going through tough times."
