Bedroom vloggers hike for Norwood

26 February 2015

For tech-savvy seventeen year olds Ben Igielman and Sam Masters, traditional fundraising techniques were never going to be enough. Instead the pair have turned to YouTube to raise money for their sponsored trek up Mount Snowdon for Norwood.

Ben works at Redbridge Unity, one of Norwood’s holiday clubs for children with special educational needs. Currently attending sixth form at King Solomon High School, he also volunteers at the club during term-time. Together with bedroom vlogger Sam Masters, who attends JCoSS, they have filmed a three-minute appeal video, talking about why they’re so passionate about the charity.

Ben said: "When I’m at Unity I see first-hand how happy the kids are and how much fun they’re having. With some charities you don’t really know where your money is going but at Norwood you can see it right there in front of you. You know what they’re doing is worthwhile and making a difference. Trekking up Mount Snowdon isn’t going to be easy, but we’ve already started training."
