IT crowd get crafty for a chicken run

13 February 2015

Vodafone’s IT team picked up tools to build a brand new chicken coop for Norwood on Thursday 12 February. The team of volunteers spent the day sawing and measuring to create a coop for the four chickens, which provide pet therapy for residents – as well as lots of eggs!

Ravenswood provides residential accommodation, sport and learning opportunities for more than 130 adults with a range of learning disabilities.

Jordan Lockyer, IPD OSS Associate Engineer and ‘chief chicken cooper,’ said: "We’re mainly office-based so it was nice to be out and do a bit of team-building. The whole team enjoyed the day and it was really good fun."

Jane Phillips, Volunteer Placement Manager, said: "We’re thrilled that our chickens now have a spacious new home! The Vodafone team worked extremely hard and we’re really grateful for all their help."
