Sixth formers come aboard for fun and games at Ravenswood

22 January 2015

Enterprising sixth-form students at Wellington College in Crowthorne have volunteered to run a weekly activities group for people in Norwood residential care.

The group meets every Wednesday night, with students and residents getting stuck in to everything from board games to cooking.

Norwood's Ravenswood provides residential accommodation, sport and learning opportunities for more than 130 adults with a range of learning disabilities.

Group organiser William Beedham, Upper Sixth, said: "It's a really enjoyable thing to do, and we are looking forward to strengthening the connections between Ravenswood and Wellington. The people who took part said they were looking forward to the rest of the activities we've planned, especially pizza making and baking."
