Winners take it all at Norwood’s Supper Quiz! 20 January 2015 Press Release Over 200 people ventured out on the coldest night of the year for Norwood’s 10th annual Supper Quiz. Alan Dedicoat, National Lottery’s ‘voice of the balls’ put quiz-goers through their paces with seven rounds of challenging general knowledge questions. The event was held at St Michael’s Banqueting Hall in Golders Green and raised over £16,000 for the UK’s largest Jewish children, family and learning disability charity. The winning team, aptly named ‘Michael’s Winners’ beat runners up ‘My Favourite Team’ to first place by just two points. Jeremy Calman, Enterprise Supper Quiz Committee Chair said: "We’ve had an amazing turnout for our 10th anniversary quiz and we’re delighted by the generosity that everyone has shown, raising money for Norwood to continue its wonderful work in the community." Guests enjoyed a light supper and a chance to catch up with old friends. For some, the evening gave them a chance to show their competitive side. Host Alan Dedicoat said: "There were lots of happy, smiling faces, everyone gets really involved."
