Grow your Tenner launches at YN Patron’s Reception

30 October 2014

YN Patrons gathered last week to sip cocktails in a rather unusual setting, Holborn’s Hunterian Museum, home to one of the oldest collections of anatomical specimens in the world.

The annual cocktail reception celebrates the contribution YN make to Norwood. As well as raising money for the charity, YN supporters volunteer their time, taking children with disabilities on trips and outings and supporting children at the Kennedy Leigh Nursery. They also play a key role within Norwood’s operational services, advising on property and corporate services.

The evening also saw the launch of a new YN campaign to fund a specialist play therapist for eight children with learning disabilities. For every ten pounds donated online, the Cabinet Office will match that donation.

Launching the appeal YN Chair Yonni Abramson said: "It’s a great opportunity for us. This funding will make a huge difference to children with special educational needs at this crucial early stage of their development. The more people who take part, the more match funding we will get, and Norwood will benefit twice over."
