Norwood nursery get baking for Rosh Hashanah

8 October 2014

Children and staff took part in a day of Rosh Hashanah celebrations on 25 September at Norwood’s inclusive nursery at the Kennedy Leigh Family Centre in Hendon.

The children learned how to make delicious honey biscuits, before sitting down to listen to the story of Sammy, a spider who ends up knee-deep in honey on Rosh Hashanah.

Norwood’s Rabbi Stanley Coten visited the Centre to blow the shofar.

Julie Marcow, Support Services Coordinator at the Kennedy Leigh Family Centre, said: “All the children enjoyed the activities we put on to celebrate the festival, especially the baking!”
