Super scuba at Ravenswood! 3 September 2014 Press Release Aqua enthusiasts from Ravenswood in Crowthorne have been learning to scuba dive! They have been taking part in specialist scuba diving lessons that help people with learning disabilities to discover the exciting underwater world. Dive Ability was initially ran as a one-off session at Ravenswood last year but due to its popularity a monthly programme is now in place. The classes are held in the state of the art hydrotherapy pool which was recently refurbished thanks to funding from Clore Duffield. Dive Ability is designed to encourage water safety, confidence and co-ordination with exercises such as swimming through hoops and picking up weights. Dive Ability participant Peter Girvan said: "I like putting on my own equipment and I can now breathe underwater using a breathing regulator. I like being underwater and picking things up from the ground."
