Young Binoh apprentices graduate in style29 July 2014Press Release Fourteen students graduated from Binoh’s transition and apprenticeship programme in an emotional ceremony last week at Norwood’s Kennedy Leigh Family Centre in Hendon. The graduation marked the culmination of months of hard work, and every student made incredible progress. The programme aims to get young people into employment and is individually tailored to the needs of each learner. Students gained qualifications ranging from BTech’s in Art, Functional Skills in Maths and English to Level 2 and 3 QCF in Childcare and in Business Administration. Rena Lichtenstein, Binoh Teaching Service Manager said: "The proof is in the pudding – all the students have got jobs or are in further training! This is a life changing programme for the students who take part in it and I am immensely proud of them and the staff who helped to make their success possible. The change in them is unbelievable, we’ve seen their ability to interact with other people and face challenges improve enormously. Now they are confident young adults who are ready to face the world." Chana Rivka, who gained a QCF in Childcare at Level 3 said: "I have really enjoyed learning all about children and how they grow and develop. I love working with the children." Dan Bonham who gained a Level 2 Qualification Business Administration said: "Attending Binoh has helped me with my attitude towards learning and my communications skills. I feel more confident now when speaking to people on a one to one basis and in group discussions."
