YN Lawyers Debate raises £30,000 for Norwood5 July 2013Press Release I was drawn to Norwood by a close friend whose relative was in the Norwood orphanage and I am massively impressed by the successes of the Charity. Norwood paves the way for other charities. Over 200 young professionals attended the annual YN Lawyers event on Thursday 4 July at Le Meridien Hotel, Piccadilly. The event, entitled ‘LOVE, HONOUR AND PAY’, raised an incredible £30,000 for Norwood’s vital services supporting vulnerable children, families and people with learning disabilities. The highlight of the evening was a thought provoking panel discussion featuring high profile family law experts; The Honourable Mr Justice Mostyn; Julian Lipson, Head of the Family Practice Group, Withers LLP and James Stewart, a Leading International Family Lawyer, Manches LLP. Moderated by radio broadcaster, Vanessa Feltz, the panel focused on some hot topical relationship issues including Pre Nups, cohabitation, divorce, civil partnerships, same sex marriage and children. The floor was then opened to guests who had the opportunity to question the panel. James Stewart said: "I was drawn to Norwood by a close friend whose relative was in the Norwood orphanage and I am massively impressed by the successes of the Charity. Norwood paves the way for other charities." Jessica Blair, YN Fundraiser, said: "The evening was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all. I would like to thank our special guests and moderator for providing such an entertaining discussion, and the YN Lawyers Committee for their on-going commitment to the event. I would also like to thank our sponsors Manches and Withers LLP, and all our guests for their generous support."
