Yonni Abramson appointed new YN Fundraising Deputy Chair15 April 2013Press Release Yonni Abramson has been appointed as the new YN Fundraising Board Deputy Chair. He will follow in the footsteps of previous Co-Chair Simon Walton at the head of the YN Fundraising Board, which advises on all aspects of organisational fundraising. Yonni has been involved with the Board for over two years and has played a key role in developing YN patronage and the YN Chairman’s Circle. He has also been widely engaged with numerous other Norwood activities, including sporting challenges such as the London Marathon, through which he raised over £15,000 for the charity. Yonni replaces Simon Walton who was in office for three years. During his tenure, Simon attended over 30 YN events and was responsible for securing lead sponsorship for many of the charity’s fundraisers. He has also volunteered as part of YN’s community engagement programme on several occasions. Yonni is currently Partner at commercial property service TSP. He is married to wife Angela and they have two sons, Joseph & Levi. He said: "YN is now a serious fundraising arm of Norwood and I am extremely proud to be a part of what we are achieving. We have a young, dynamic and diverse Board with big fundraising aspirations. I am excited for the year ahead!" Simon Walton said: "I am incredibly proud of what was achieved during my tenure and grateful beyond words for the hard work and efforts shown by my Co-Chair, Jamie Reichman, the members of the board and by YN's incredible staff. I also want to congratulate Yonni on his appointment as Deputy Chair. Although I leave the board, I shall continue to support Norwood in whatever way I can."
