We are delighted to have appointed someone with Charles’s skills and experience for what will be a key role within our charity.

Norwood, the UK’s leading charity supporting children, families and people with learning disabilities, announced today that it had appointed Charles Golding as its Director of Communications and Marketing.

Charles Golding, who’s worked in the media for thirty years, has a broad range of senior experience in print, television and radio, new media, public relations and communications. His roles have included editing national and international newspapers, radio and television programming and broadcasting and running a media training and marketing consultancy.

Elaine Kerr, Chief Executive of Norwood said: "We are delighted to have appointed someone with Charles’s skills and experience for what will be a key role within our charity. We are impressed by his passion and vision and believe that he will make an invaluable addition to Norwood senior management.”

Charles is taking lead responsibility for Norwood’s Communications and Marketing team, playing a key role in helping Norwood develop and implement its internal and external communications and lobbying strategy, including press relations, new media and marketing.

Charles Golding said: "It’s very exciting to be joining Norwood at this crucial time in its long history. Norwood provides professional help in a warm and caring Jewish environment, supporting people to be as independent as possible. It’s one of the oldest charities in Britain-and the only Jewish charity to enjoy the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen. I am honoured to be working with Norwood’s professional and caring staff and really hope to make a difference."
