If you have any medical conditions which could be adversely affected by exercise, particularly a heart condition, or if you have any doubts about your health, you must get written clearance from your doctor.
You agree that you are physically capable of taking part in The Vitality Big Half and agree to be solely responsible for your actions and safety and that Norwood are not responsible for any injury or illness, for loss or damage to personal effects, any accidents or death however so arising, except where injury or death arises as a result of Norwood negligence.
There is no insurance provided, whether life or medical or liability, for illness, accident, injury, death, loss or damage that may arise in connection with the participation in the event by each participant. You are strongly advised to obtain such insurance yourself. We advise you to refer to the event organiser's Terms and Conditions for any specific terms relating direct to The Vitality Big Half.
You accept that should any medical or physical condition arise prior to the event, which is likely to affect your ability to compete, you will notify Norwood immediately.
By accepting a place to run for Norwood in The Vitality Big Half you are expected to raise the minimum of £350 which does not include Gift Aid or Matched Giving. Although this is the required amount, do not treat this as a target as Norwood needs each and every one of our runners to raise as much as possible to ensure we continue to provide vital support to the thousands of people in our care. If you do not reach the required minimum of £350 1 month prior to the event on 10 April 2019 then you will be required to set up a direct debit to cover the remaining balance. If for whatever reason you do not participate in the challenge, sponsorship forms and any sponsorship monies received should be sent to Norwood or returned to the sponsors if requested.
Your fundraising will not include:
- Collecting in any public place without first obtaining authorisation from the local authority and any other licences or consent that Norwood requires you to obtain.
- Collecting on private property (including shops, pubs etc) without first obtaining permission of the owner of the private property.
- Raising funds by carrying out door-to-door or unsolicited collections.
Minimum age of entry is 17 years.
