Binoh

Any child with a special educational need can access the Binoh Service. The aim of Binoh is to meet the needs of a child in order to enhance his/her learning, improve his/her self-esteem and allow them to shine. The support provided by Binoh professionals aims to enable children to remain in their current or chosen school.

The Binoh Team is able to assess each child individually, consulting with parents, family members, carers and the child’s existing schoolteachers. A planned programme of support may then be developed.

Binoh BrochureA programme may utilise any number of our expert staff: Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Art Therapists, Jewish Studies Consultants and a team of mobile teachers or Learning Support assistants.

In addition to the staff team we offer specialist resources and equipment to assist teaching and learning, and have two Special Education Units based at our Children & Family Centres in Hendon and Hackney.

Norwood has created a brochure highlighting the latest services Binoh offers to Schools, Parents and Children.

For some children who are highly allergic, coming into contact with everyday foods like fish, dairy, nuts and eggs, can be life-threatening. That’s why over 100 parents and professionals came to ‘Meet the Allergists’ an event organised by Norwood and Camp Simcha at the Kennedy Leigh Children & Family Centre on Monday 20 November 2006.

Click here to read the post-event press release, and to find out more about Norwood's first advice evening on allergies and how Norwood is supporting children and families coping with allergies...
