Rainbow group

Now running twice a week this group offers mothers who have children with special needs and disabilities an opportunity to talk about their feelings, receive both emotional and practical support and exchange information.

During the sessions, a team of experienced s volunteers provide a safe and stimulating play environment for any accompanying children aged up to 5 years who have special needs. Siblings are also welcome

For all children they can enjoy full use of our Family Centre’s facilities, including the soft play ball room , sensory room and the adventure playground

What it offers

The group provides an opportunity for parents to:

  • talk about their feelings
  • receive emotional and practical support
  • exchange information

For all children (including siblings), the group provides:

  • a safe and stimulating environment run by a team of experienced staff and volunteers
  • full use of the family centre’s facilities, including the soft-play room and sensory room
  • parachute and singing time

Course details

Wednesdays 9, 16, 23, 30 January; 6, 13, 27 February; 6, 13, 20, 27 March; 3, 10 April

No group: 20 February (half term)

Thursdays 10, 17, 24, 31 January; 7, 14, 28 February; 7, 14, 28 March; 4, 11 April

No group: 21 February (half term); 21 March (Purim)

Age group: for parents/full time carers of children aged 0–8 years with special educational needs and/or a disability

Time: Both groups will run from 1.30–3.00pm

Cost: £65 per term (please book in advance)
