Young Volunteers

Norwood recognises that young people have a vital role to play in the future of the charity, and, from the age of 12, you can get involved in programmes, projects, and opportunities – helping thousands of people in the community.

Whichever opportunity you choose, you’ll receive full training; get real workplace experience that can go on your CV; learn valuable new skills; and make new friends along the way.

What you’ll be doing

Norwood has a number of fantastic young people’s volunteering programmes.

From the age of 14 you could find yourself helping in one of our charity shops.

From the age of 16, you could be volunteering in one of our offices.

Or, from the age of 18, you could be supporting staff in accommodation services for adults with learning disabilities.

You can come to us directly, or you might prefer to volunteer through your school, college, synagogue, the National Citizens Service – or complete your Duke of Edinburgh’s Award with us.
