Norwood’s Senior ManagementNorwood’s Senior Management Team is responsible for implementing the strategic decisions made by our Trustee Board.Our Chief Executive, Dr Beverley Jacobson, heads up a team of professional and experienced senior managers. The team works together to ensure that Norwood makes the best possible use of all available resources. Our aim is to achieve positive outcomes for all the people who use our services.Dr Beverley Jacobson – Chief ExecutiveDr Beverley Jacobson joined Norwood as Chief Executive in 2018 following a decade long term as Chief Executive of learning disability charity Kisharon. Bev, who is widely regarded as an inspirational leader, is extremely passionate about Norwood and championing everything Norwood represents.Bev was awarded the Charity Times’ Charity Principal of the Year award for 2016 “for leading a remarkable year [at Kisharon] with direction and delivery”.Abiola Yusuf – Acting Director of FinanceAbiola joined Norwood in 2016 with a strong financial and commercial background in housing associations and charities. She has responsibility for Finance, Technology, Legacy and Company Secretarial duties. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).In her leisure, Abiola enjoys spending time with friends and family. When feeling brave, she attempts roller skating with her two children.David Harris – Director of DevelopmentDavid first joined Norwood as Director of Operational Services in 2003, taking on his current role in March 2012. As a qualified social worker, he spent many years in various operational management and senior management roles for local authorities and housing associations.He has a BA in social science, a Diploma in Management Studies and a Masters of Business Administration.Hazel Kaye – Director of TransformationHazel joined Norwood as Director of Transformation following 16 years at Jewish Blind & Disabled (JBD), 13 of which she spent in the role of Chief Executive. At JBD, Hazel implemented and oversaw a range of significant changes to the organisation as well as the expansion of their services and buildings.Passionate about charitable work in the Jewish Community, Hazel also worked at the UJIA and UJS before joining Jewish Blind & Disabled.Ron Brown – Director of ServicesRon joined Norwood in January 2017, and was confirmed as Norwood’s permanent Director of Services in March 2017.He has extensive experience amounting 30 years in Social Care spanning the Local Authority, Not for Profit and Commercial Sectors of the environment. He has worked in a Senior Management and leadership capacity for over 20 years and has developed a particular interest and professional expertise in Services for people with a Learning Disability.He is a Qualified Social Worker, and has an MBA and Care Sector Management Qualifications.Shona McBride – Director of WorkforceShona joined Norwood as Head of Human Resources in 2005 and moved to her current role in 2012. Previously she spent many years in the public sector, latterly as Director of Human Resources for a large hospital trust.Shona is a chartered member of the CIPD.
