Norwood appoints new Chief Executive

Elaine KerrNorwood, one of the UK’s leading social care organisations, today announces the appointment of its new Chief Executive, Elaine Kerr.

Elaine Kerr, who succeeds Norma Brier, joins Norwood from Chai Cancer Care. As CEO, she has led the organisation through a period of sustained growth and development, including increasing the number of service users from 400 to over 1,450 and launching a Medical Outpatient service - an innovative national first.

Previously, Elaine Kerr had over 15 years of experience in the NHS. She held a variety of board posts in health authorities, hospital trusts and primary care trusts, including Executive Director of Commissioning for a Primary Care Trust where she commissioned all health services for the population of the second largest London borough. She is a full member of the Institute of Healthcare Management.
