Norwood’s Patrons enjoy exclusive viewing of Lorenzo Quinn exhibition at annual Cocktail Party
At its annual patrons cocktail party last week Norwood thanked almost 200 of its major donors and YN Patrons for their contribution which helped to make 2007 the most successful patronage year to date for the Charity. Norma Brier, Norwood’s Chief Executive, highlighted major achievements and updated the guests on new projects for the coming year. The event was generously sponsored by Halcyon Gallery at their newly opened flagship gallery in Bruton Street W1 and was hosted by Gallery Director, Russell Green.

The Patrons were welcomed by Norwood President, Richard Desmond and were given a private viewing of Evolution an exhibition by world famous artist Lorenzo Quinn, son of the Oscar-winning legend Anthony Quinn. The sculptor, accompanied by his wife and two sons made a starring appearance at the event and mingled with the guests as they admired his work amidst the Georgian grandeur of the new gallery.

Addressing the guests, Norma Brier said: “This evening is our way of thanking all of you for what you give to Norwood throughout the year. Your generous response has made sure that we have never had to say no to those who have turned to us for help. I am so pleased to be able to take this opportunity to say a huge ‘thank you’ for all that you do for us. It is you who helps Norwood to make the vital, often life-saving difference, day in day out to people across our community. Thank you.”
Russell Green, Managing Director of Halcyon Gallery said: “We were delighted to host this party for the patrons of Norwood at our magnificent new contemporary Halcyon Gallery in Mayfair. Congratulations to everyone at Norwood for making 2007 such a successful year for the Charity.”
