Following the decision of Norwood’s Board of Trustees Bernie Myers said: “I would like to thank Michael for the outstanding work he has done for Norwood not just during his period as Chairman but over his long prior involvement with Ravenswood. It is an honour to follow him and I am determined that Norwood continues the successful development we have seen under Michael’s tenure.

“Norwood provides the safety net for children and families in the Jewish community and I am clear about the responsibility I am taking on to help lead the organisation into the future. Norwood is an organisation which is changing as we respond to meeting the individual needs and aspirations of the people we support. We have to make sure that the services we provide enable these needs to be met. “

“This is a great appointment for Norwood and I am looking forward to working alongside Bernie as we continue to make sure that Norwood is best placed to help all those who turn to it for support”, said David Ereira. “I am delighted that Bernie is in a position to give Norwood the dedication that is needed for such a major role.”
