Community Fun Run 2008

27 May 2008

A total of 29 runners braved the bleak cold and rainy weather to raise funds for Norwood at the Maccabi Israel’s 60th anniversary Community Fun Run, held at Haberdashers Boys School in Elstree on Sunday May 25 2008.

Some participated in the 5k event – which was a fun run for those who wanted to run, jog, walk or even complete the course in fancy dress – while others tackled the10k event. Ian Tate, Norwood’s Head of Challenges, said: “All credit to our runners for their wonderful spirit in challenging conditions. They were fundraising for a fantastic cause, and the money they raised will help support the needs of children and families with learning disabilities or coping with social difficulties.”
