Norwood launches its 2009 Sporting Challenges programme An international bike ride to Rajasthan in India is just one of the jewels in Norwood’s 2009 programme of sponsored sporting challenges.
New York marathon runners raise funds for Norwood Three participants in the New York marathon raised £15,000 for Norwood
South Africa Bike Ride raises over £500k for Norwood The South Africa Bike Ride, which was split into two groups (week one held from October 25 – November 3 and week two from November 1 – 10), raised more than £500,000 for Norwood.
Italian job raises funds for Norwood The Amalfi coastal trek, which took place from 14-19 September 2008, raised £45,000 for Norwood.
Israel Bike Riders raise funds for Norwood The Israel Bike Ride, which took place from 13-21 September 2008, raised £30,000 for Norwood.
Capital to Coast 2008 The Capital to Coast organising committe, along with the four benefiting charities, are delighted with the success of this year's Capital to Coast charity bike ride (Sunday 13 July 2008).
Junior Bike Ride 2008 A total of 220 cyclists raised more than £20,000 for Norwood at its annual Junior Bike Ride held on Sunday 22 June 2008 at the Look Out Discovery Centre in Berkshire.
Golf Aid 2008 Sixteen golfers raised more than £30,000 for Norwood by taking part in the annual Golf Aid Challenge.
Swimathon in aid of Norwood Thirteen-year-old Michael Tucker organised a charity swimathon for the second year in succession. Michael conceived and organised the entire event himself, and was joined in the pool by over 40 of his friends. He hopes that sponsorship will total in excess of £5,000.
Community Fun Run 2008 29 runners braved the bleak cold and rainy weather to raise funds for Norwood at the Maccabi Israel’s 60th anniversary Community Fun Run on Sunday May 25 2008.
