Israeli Ambassador's wife visits services

24 April 2007

Mrs Sigalia Heifetz, the Israeli Ambassador's wife visited Norwood services this week with the Deputy Chair of Patronage, Carol Sopher. They shared a joke as they enjoyed the sunshine last week in the garden of Buckets & Spades Lodge, Norwood's respite care, short term break centre for children with disabilities.

Buckets & Spades Lodge provides high quality 24 hour care from a team of dedicated staff who organise activities and outings for children and young people aged 0 - 18years, giving them the opportunity to spend time with their peers and have fun. It also gives parents a much-needed break from the pressure of constant caring as well as some time to spend with the rest of their family. Mrs Heifetz also visited the Kennedy Leigh Centre & Pears Wing for Children in Hendon which provides a range of support services and groups to children and families including Norwood's education and therapy service, Binoh, that offers multidisciplinary support to children with additional needs.
