Clubbing together for Norwood

It was a tee party – and breakfast, lunch and supper – for 24 intrepid fundraisers who took to the golf courses on Thursday 8 June, to raise £50,000 for Norwood.

Norwood Challenges - Golf AidTeeing off at 4am, the participants played 17 hours of non-stop golf covering 90 holes over five courses – Abridge, Finchley, Hartsbourne, Dyrham Park and Potters Bar. This was the twelfth annual Golf Aid tournament in aid of Norwood, and in that time over £1m has been raised.

Norwood Challenges - Golf AidIan Tate, Head of Norwood Challenges commented: “Yet again, Golf Aid turned out to be a fantastic day. It’s remarkable to see golfers of all ages and abilities still smiling after 17 exhausting hours on the scorching greens – they are all true Challenges heroes to have completed 90 holes in such testing conditions. As ever, we thank them for their fantastic support.”
