Senior Management Team at Norwood to be re-structured
NORWOOD this week began the final stage of its re-branding programme with Norma Brier, Chief Executive announcing the decision to re-structure the senior management team of Anglo-Jewry's leading children and family services care organisation with the creation of two new key posts; Director of Operational Services and Director of Corporate Services.
Together with the existing post of Director of Business Development, these posts will form the new Strategic Directorate with the Chief Executive. They will be responsible for setting corporate strategy with the Board of Trustees ensuring high quality services that are financially sound.
The Director of Corporate Services will have strategic responsibility for the areas of Finance, Human Resources (including Personnel, Training and Health & Safety) and IT. The Director of Operational Services will have strategic responsibility for five Divisional Directors who will each manage the operation of one of the five new services. Norwood will be developing the posts of its Divisional Directors who are responsible for the day-to-day running of its five key service divisions covering; Ravenswood Village, Learning Disability Services, Special Education Services, Children & Family Services and Fostering & Adoption Services.
Explaining the thinking behind the decision Norma Brier, Chief Executive said: "The decision reflects the seriousness with which the Trustees and I regard the delivery of services that Norwood provides. We believe that Norwood has the capability to stand at the forefront of services to children and adults within the Jewish community and beyond.
"The voluntary sector is now the key provider of many services concerning vulnerable children and their families and people with disabilities. The requirements and regulations affecting these areas have become increasingly complex and demanding. By re-structuring the Senior Management Team at Norwood we believe we are placing the organisation in a strong and sound position to meet the demands it faces in the coming years."
