Fostering under the spotlight at community event A coalition of charities and local authorities hailed the success of an event to boost fostering within the Orthodox Jewish community. Fostering in the Community, held last Wednesday at Hasmonean Boys School, in Hendon, was organised by a partnership group which included charities Norwood and Ezer Leyoldos and fostering services at the London Boroughs of Barnet, Haringey and Hackney. 23 January 2012
Enterprise Supper Quiz raises £12,000 for Norwood A bit of brain power and a lot of goodwill helped Norwood to raise an incredible £12,000 at its annual Supper Quiz. More than 200 people packed into St Michael’s Banqueting Hall in Golders Green to take part in a quiz, which was organised by the Enterprise Committee and hosted by regular quizmaster Alan Dedicoat. The aptly named Michael’s Winners walked away with first prize, while a special True or False round was won by Ron Fogleman. 17 January 2012
20th Anniversary of Norwood Challenges We’ve organised 47 events in 18 different countries, cycled, run and walked thousands of miles and raised a whopping £16million … and all this in just two decades! To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Norwood Challenges programme, the Charity is calling on the whole community to go the extra mile to raise vital funds to help make this year’s events the biggest and best yet. 16 January 2012
Norwood co-signs letter to PM about social care reform Norwood is one of 70 signatories to an open letter to the Prime Minister, David Cameron, calling for cross-party action on reforming social care for older and disabled people. 3 January 2012
