Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Experienced Occupational Therapist to join our lovely Occupational Therapy department as a senior OT!

Some of the Main Duties will include:

  1. Independently and effectively manage assigned caseload and own appointment timetable, in order to achieve agreed productivity levels, and support L1 and L2 team members to do so. To maintain high standards of time management.
  2. To maintain accurate, succinct and timely records in accordance with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and HCPC guidelines. To adhere to internal Norwood policies and procedures for administration, IT, record keeping, data management and billing. To ensure adherence to all legal requirements for data management and storage. To support L1 and L2 team members to do so.
  3. To independently undertake occupational therapy assessment, including complex cases. To use standardised and non-standardised assessment, demonstrating advanced clinical reasoning for assessment recommendations. To supervise the assessments of L1 and L2 team members.
  4. To deliver occupational therapy to individual/groups of children and young people with special educational needs and/or complex needs, and provide advice and support to their families and schools. To provide these services at Norwood’s centres and at schools. To provide supervision for the therapy delivered by L1 and L2 team members. To work within the boundaries of your skills and experience, seeking appropriate support from the occupational therapy team to ensure safe delivery of occupational therapy services.
