Become a Norwood Trustee

Norwood Change a Life

Change a life

Every day, Norwood supports thousands of people with learning disabilities and children and families in need, helping them to change their lives, one by one.

The opportunity

Do you have the talent and experience to become a Trustee? If you have commitment to disability issues or social disadvantage then we would like to meet you. Trustees, who each have a portfolio, meet six times each year – usually from 8.00am to 10.00am as well as additional meetings with relevant professional and lay leaders. Your minimum time commitment would be twelve days each year. Trustees are appointed for an initial period of four years.

Skills and Qualifications

We are interested in people who feel they can make a significant and valuable contribution to the strategy and governance of Norwood. We have identified Health and Safety and Public Affairs as two areas where we would like to strengthen our board. We are also interested in people with experience in risk or investment management to strengthen two of our committees.

The Organisation

We believe people should live the life they choose. Norwood supports people with learning disabilities and children and families in need. We work with individuals to improve the quality of their lives and achieve their goals. Our services are provided to the Jewish community and also to people in the wider community.
