Ronnie Harris

Ronnie Harris was born on the 10th June 1951, and was educated at St Paul’s School albeit leaving with one ‘O’ Level. He then took up Articles and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1974. In 1976 he merged his own practice with his father’s firm, Alfred Harris & Trotter, which later became known as Harris & Trotter which is now an eleven Partner firm and has been in the West End for over fifty years.

The firm is internationally well known in the entertainment business and represents a large number of high net worth individuals. It specialises in property companies and owner managed businesses assisting them to achieve their aims within a tax motivated environment. Ronnie is a Non-Executive Director at the ladies fashion company, Lipsy Limited, which is fast establishing itself as one of the power labels at the high end of the international fashion market.

Ronnie spends a considerable amount of time on charitable matters and was a Trustee of Norwood for ten years, resigning in 2006 having been Fundraising Chair for most of that time. He was reappointed as a Trustee in November 2007, looking after London services and continuing his role as Chairman of Patronage. He is also a Trustee of the national charity, Teenage Cancer Trust, a Trustee of two other charitable trusts, and is involved in specific philanthropic projects in both South Africa and Israel.

Ronnie, a Spurs fan, has been married to Loretta for over thirty years and they have three children, Charlotte, Sophie and Toby. He has completed four marathons and has entered for his fifth, being the London marathon in April 2008. He has also completed fourteen international Norwood challenge bike rides and participates in many other sponsored challenge events.
