Ian Fagelson

Ian became a Trustee of Norwood in 2008 having previously served for more than a decade as a Trustee of the HOPE Charity and its Chair of Fundraising. Ian was one of a group of British parents of children with special needs who had received help from Israeli educational psychologist Professor Reuven Feuerstein.

In 1996, they opened The HOPE Centre for Cognitive Education which developed into a centre of excellence in the UK that enables children with learning difficulties to reach their full potential through the Feuerstein methodology as well as providing training courses for professionals, parents and carers in the use of Feuerstein’s techniques. In 2008, HOPE became part of the Norwood family – and Ian came with it.

In his day job, Ian practices law as a partner in international law firm Reed Smith. He is married with three children.
