
Gill is a Chartered Physiotherapist who has worked in the specialist area of neuropaediatrics (cerebral palsy) for the past 30 years. She spent 25 years at the Bobath Centre, London, achieving Senior Bobath Tutor status, treating children, training Tutors and organising, supervising and delivering courses both at home and abroad. She has designed 2 items of equipment and assisted in the direction and production of 2 videos on the Bobath Concept.
For the past 6 years, Gill has been a freelance practitioner, with a clinical caseload and regular involvement in lecturing nationally and internationally. She has developed specialisms such as medico-legal (expert witness) work, writing literature and developing courses for therapists on the implications of Manual Handling legislation and most recently, moderation of a professional website (BABTT) on behalf of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
Gill is Secretary of the European Bobath Tutors Association (EBTA) - covering 16 European countries.
Communal involvement has included 2 years as Vice Chairperson of Mill Hill Synagogue and for 9 years previously as Board Member with responsibility for Welfare, Community Development and Children’s Services. Gill was also an Executive Committee member of the Association of US Women (AUSW) and has acted in an advisory capacity for the United Synagogue’s Community Development Group.
