David was appointed Chair of the Norwood Advisory Council in December 2010 when his term as Deputy Chair of the Trustee Board came to an end. He served as Deputy Chairman of Norwood from January 2005. He also Co-Chairs the Operational Services Committee, which oversees Norwood’s children, family and adult services.
He has been involved with fundraising and services at Norwood since 1993, when he set up Young Norwood. He has previously chaired the Property Committee and was Co-Chair of the fundraising Property Lunch Committee for four years. He remains an active member of the Annual Dinner committee.
He was also an independent permanent placement panel member at the Norwood Adoption Society for 10 years. He has now retired but remains a member of the Adoption Management committee. David also has experience within other areas of Norwood’s social services, including education and special needs.
He was formerly Norwood’s representative on the Board of Deputies, with responsibility for people with learning disabilities. He is currently Chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) Task Force, which reviews special education provision throughout the Jewish community in the UK.
He is a partner in a firm of investment surveyors, Ereira Mendoza.
