Norwood is launching a new campaign called Change a life. We believe people with learning disabilities and children and families in need should live the life they choose and we work with individuals to change their lives and achieve their goals.
Here’s what a few of those people, and some of our supporters, have to say about Norwood’s Change a life campaign.
| "I would like to commend this remarkable organisation on the theme it has chosen for its campaign: ‘Change a life.’ Every time Norwood supports, nurtures and give someone wings to fly, it fulfils the highest ideals of Jewish charity: giving people dignity and self-respect by helping them towards a more independent life." Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks |
"To change a life. Wow, that’s quite a statement. What an honour it must be for those of you that support this fantastic charity." Lulu, singer |

| "Hi. We’re Diversity. Our lives have been changed this year thanks to Britain’s Got Talent. But that’s small fry compared to the way Norwood and all you wonderful people help to change lives. Thank you for making us a part of this great organisation. Change a life." Diversity, dance group |
“I am proud to be Norwood’s Patron of Children’s Services and particularly proud or our Change a life campaign. When I think of Norwood, that's exactly what I think of. At Norwood, we understand that every single person, whatever their ability, is valuable as a human being,” Cherie Blair, Norwood Patron of Children Services
|
| "To change a life you need very special people. Norwood people." Darcey Bussell, ballerina |
"My life has been changed by Norwood because I have been given a real chance to make a difference to other people’s lives." David Ereira, Deputy Chairman
| Helping at Norwood has really given me a perspective on things. What began as a few hours a week volunteering has become an essential and wonderful part of my life. Louisa Clein, Volunteer |
"Anyone that supports Norwood can be very proud of what they do, because it really changes lives." Chaka Khan, singer |
|
| "Norwood changed my life because it made me feel better about myself. It also made me feel like I wasn’t different." Leah Redmond, Unity |
"I am very, very happy where I am now. I wouldn’t change it for anything. I mean that. I wouldn’t change it for nothing." Ruth Bloom, resident of a Norwood home |
|
|
| "My life has been changed by Norwood because I know that every day I play a small part in making someone’s life more worthwhile." Gloria Stoll, Staff |
"I have had so many amazing moments in my life and I have been so lucky to bring music to many people’s lives, but to change a life is truly a gift. I think what Norwood does is remarkable." Anastacia, singer |

We'd like you to hear your stories about how Norwood has helped to change your life or the life of someone you work with or support so that we can continue to share these and be inspired by Norwood's vital work.
