What this means is that as a charity, we are becoming more personal in everything that we do.
Norwood helps to change the lives of thousands of people with learning disabilities and children and families in need each year, one by one.
Norwood’s vision is for people to live the life they choose.
It is our mission to support each and every child, adult and family, to meet their aspirations, whatever their ability, whatever their ambitions.
To be able to change a life, one by one, day by day means changing ourselves too. Norwood is constantly adapting the way we work to suit the rapidly changing environment around us. Both the global recession and the changes in the world of social care provision are having a profound effect on the future direction of the Charity.
That’s why Norwood will place a greater emphasis on personalisation which means giving every child and adult using our services, an individually made service so that we empower people to become more independent through the opportunities we provide for them.
Over the next few years, our services will become even more responsive, flexible and customer-focussed.
We have also redoubled our efforts to be even more financially prudent and cost effective than ever before.
