Social Work Services
Family support, individual work with children, counselling and parenting work. Advocacy and advice.

Headstart Project
A home visiting service by trained Portage staff, to promote all types of development for babies/toddlers under 5 years of age with special needs. Headstart project also sends home visitors to mothers who have any developmental concerns about their babies/toddlers.

Stay and Play After School Club
Monday 4.00 – 6.00 pm
Tuesday 4.00 – 6.00 pm
Wednesday 4.00 – 6.00 pm

For mothers and their children 0-8 years from the Jewish Orthodox Community. Activities include, sports, games, baking, crafts, and outdoor adventure playground and garden.

Mondays 12.00 pm - 3.00 pm
Tuesdays 10.30 am - 3.00 pm
Wednesdays 10.30 am - 3.00 pm

Mother and toddler drop-in group for children aged 0-5 for the Orthodox Community. Toy Library, soft play and spacious outdoor play area. Activity Corner – crafts, gardening and story telling – Mondays and Wednesdays. Songs and Sounds – singing games and musical activities – Tuesdays. Special Events held throughout the year. One to one parenting advice available.

Summer Scheme
For mothers and their children 0-8 years. A variety of activities held over five weeks (full days). Bookings only; details available from the Family Centre.

Honey Bear
Thursdays 10.00 am – 12.30 pm

Parent and toddler group for children aged 0-5 years, from the wider Jewish community. Fathers welcome. Toy Library, activity corner, soft play and spacious outdoor play area. Special events held throughout the year.

Binoh
Special Education Service which works with children of all ages with specific educational needs to enhance their learning and improve their self-esteem.
