Training and Qualifications

Norwood’s Deli, based at our Kennedy Leigh Centre in Hendon, supports trainees with learning disabilities to learn catering skills. We offer Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Qualifications in an accessible format for people with learning disabilities. One such qualification we offer is the Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. This enables people to secure employment in the field of catering.

In addition to this, we offer a variety of workshops at the Norwood WorkHub. These include:

Assertiveness
Increasing Confidence and Self Esteem
Person Centred Planning
Money Skills
Internet café
Employment Drop Ins

All the above workshops are run at the request of our service users or have been identified to meet their needs.
