“Links” Leisure Service

“Links” is the name given to our leisure service. It was created to provide leisure opportunities and social involvement for people with learning disabilities aged 18 years and over.

Links bowling activityLinks is designed to provide opportunities for adults with learning disabilities to have a rewarding and interesting social life within the local and wider community.

Links is a members led service and they have an active say on the activities organised as well as producing a members newsletter every three months.

Activities are diverse and varied, being hosted both in our Kennedy Leigh Children & Family Centre in Hendon, Mitkadem Centre in Redbridge and out in the communities. They include: themed evenings, disco and karaoke nights, cultural activities, day trips to different attractions bowling and visits to the theatre.

Weekly activities take place at different locations and are advertised in a 3 monthly programme.

Regular in-house activities are held at:
Kennedy Leigh Centre, Hendon
Wednesday 7-9

Mitkadem Centre – Redbridge
Monday 7 to 9pm
