Social Work Teams

Children & Family Centres
Our Children & Family Services incorporate the work of our three Children & Family Centres, Kennedy Leigh in Hendon, Leonard Sainer in Redbridge and Somers in Hackney. Each centre runs specialist support groups for children and families, supported by teams of professional social workers.

Social Work
Norwood social workers work directly with children, troubled adolescents and parents at our Children & Family Centres. They also provide specific support for adults with learning disabilities and their families. This can range from helping adults move into independent living to support with personal relationships.

Unity – recreation services
Unity is the name given to our recreational services for children with learning disabilities offered at all our Children & Family Centres. Unity’s many services are available to 5 to 18 year olds and their siblings.

Oakfield Link – residential services
Oakfield Link is a home for Jewish people who are homeless or who are having family difficulties and are between the ages of 18 and 25. It enables young people in times of difficulty to acquire the skills to become independent and self reliant within a safe environment. Support is offered through the Norwood social work team to enable young people to move on and live independently successfully.
