Hydrotheraphy at Norwood
At our Ravenswood centre, we have a fully accessible hydrotherapy pool which is offered to our residents and helps to improve physical wellbeing.
The fully accessible hydrotherapy pool has a range of hoists and adapted equipment and there is a specialised sensory lighting system to engage and stimulate swimmers.
The warmth of the hydrotherapy pool improves people’s physical wellbeing:
What hydrotheraphy offers
An aquatic program can also help the psychosocial wellbeing of a person with a disability. Learning to enjoy the water and to move about without assistance can enhance their self-esteem and self-awareness. A sense of wellbeing and freedom can lead to a temporary release from tension and stress, both of which sometimes increase the negative impact of physical disabilities.
The pool availabel for use by adults supported by Norwood With learning disabilities, autism, and other conditions such as Down Syndrome.
For further information or to arrange a viewing of our hydrotherapy pool, please contact us on 020 8809 8809.
We're sorry, but the hydrotherapy pool is not available to use by the general public.
