Our Community Engagement initiatives include forming links with:
We are constantly seeking to strengthen our links with our local communities. We are keen to hear from you if you (or a group you work with) would like to get involved in our work.
Committees and YN
Norwood benefits significantly from the contributions of the people who sit on our fundraising and advisory committees. These individuals provide advice and support regarding our policy, future planning and fundraising activities. YN (for people aged 21-35yrs) is one example of this type of work.
Employer Supported Volunteering
We work with a number of local employers, providing team building days for their staff. Recent Employer Supported Volunteering initiatives have included:
The companies involved report that the activities we offer provide a perfect day out for their team. We are always looking for new, innovative partnerships with local organisations for one-off events or ongoing opportunities.
We offer volunteering experiences to young people, working closely with schools and local youth groups. These can be taster sessions or programmes of activity. We will work with you to develop opportunities that meet your needs while helping us. We understand that young people have busy lives and might just want to dip a toe in the water of voluntary activity.
